Hostage Rescue Team

HRT CommanderHRT Commander Tanoi

The Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) stands as the pinnacle tactical unit within the CSN Federal Investigation Bureau (FIB). Conceived with the purpose of furnishing an around-the-clock federal law enforcement tactical capacity, the HRT was established to adeptly respond to significant terrorist incidents occurring across the United States. As time has progressed, the HRT has evolved to encompass an array of tactical law enforcement and national security functions, operating within demanding and hazardous settings both domestically and abroad.

Functioning in synergy with the Crisis Negotiation Unit (CNU), field SWAT teams, and the Tactical Helicopter Unit (THU), the HRT constitutes a vital component of the FIB's Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG).

How can I join?

To join HRT, you first have to be put on the HRT watch list by having outstanding performance within SWAT. Once on the watch list, you are then able to attend the 4 day long HRT training. From this training, depending on numbers, only 2-3 selectees will be accepted into HRT, the rest will remain on the watch list to attend a training at a later date.

HRT is split into four teams, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie & Delta. Upon acceptance into HRT, you will be put into one of these teams, you will no longer be a SWAT operator, you will be a HRT operator where you can then make your uniform and choose your call sign.
